Most club memberships are month-to-month and may be cancelled at any time (1) by mailing written notice of cancellation to P.O. Box 54170, Irvine, CA 92619) (we recommend registered or certified mail and keeping a record for your files); (2) in-person, by delivering written notice of cancellation directly to the Operations Manager at your nearest club between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M., Monday through Friday (in-person cancellations are subject to change depending upon the Operation Manager’s availability; we recommend you get a receipt); or (3) via your online account or as may otherwise be provided in your agreement (for example, depending on your state of enrollment, you may be able to cancel by email).
A mailed cancellation form postmarked at least 5 business days before your next billing date should result in no further billings. If notice is postmarked within 5 business days, you may be billed once more. If this occurs, we will refund that additional billing.
If your membership, personal training or other agreement has an initial term of three months or more, and (1) you’re outside of your initial term, you may also cancel at any time as provided above; (2) you’re still within the initial term, your cancellation will be effective when the initial term ends; and (3) you wish to cancel before the end of the initial term, a termination fee will apply. If you have questions about such cancellations, or about cancelling a paid-in-full agreement, please visit your local club or contact us.
If you decide to cancel, you may still use the club for any pre-paid time. For example, if you prepaid your last month’s dues at enrollment, those prepaid dues will be applied to the month following the month purchased by the final recurring dues payment that you made before we received your cancellation notice. Your membership will expire at the end of that prepaid last month.
Instead of cancelling your fitness membership, you may have other options:
- If you’re relocating, we have clubs in other areas! Click on the ‘Locations’ tab on our homepage to see if there’s one near you.
- Another option is to suspend ("freeze") your month-to-month membership for just $10 per month. This is a good alternative if you’re not planning to use the membership for more than 30 days (e.g., if you’re gone for the summer) and your dues are more than $10 a month. When you want to start using the club again, you can simply "unfreeze" without paying any additional fee. When you unfreeze in the middle of a month, you’ll be charged for any days remaining in the month on a prorated basis if such prorated amount is over $10. A paid-in-full membership may also be frozen, for up to 6 months, for $35.
